Copyright is supposed to involve effort that an author puts into an original work. How can 1 note be said to be sufficient originality and effort? I really despair sometimes at the jurisprudence in this country- perhaps we should go back to a system of divination by animal entrails to solve court cases maybe the results would be more predictable and reliable.
