The Register seems be doing a bit more in-depth stuff with the corrupt
disc people.  Whatever the spin, it is interesting to get some kind of
an insight on these people.

It is surprising how clueless everyone seems at SunnComm, though.
After all, if you can sell Christmas trees, then you can sell
anything, right?  If you can fool these people that you have some hope
of "plugging the analog hole" or "solving the Shift-key problem", you
could probably divert them for months or years.  Well done, "Dark
Noise", whoever you are.

This also seems like an example of how corporations can be full of
agreeable and naive people doing their mediocre best, yet the whole
thing ends up causing enormous grief elsewhere.  Agreeable naive
short-sighted people are probably ideal for this role.

ever-so-nice people can happily shit on the world ... until the world
shits back, which I sincerely hope it will, in equal measure to the
grief they are aiming to cause.
