I was discussing this on IRC and how the Lib Dems' policy turned out to be a, ah, complete lie. A volunteer worker for the Lib Dems insisted that it was not a lie and that the vote had been a "clerical error." Which doesn't square with a volunteer I'd closely questioned on the matter soon after the vote, who was very embarrassed about it - it appears they bothered getting out a shore story to the volunteers. So the questions are: 1. what *is* the Lib Dem position? (I know their lawyer is pro-swpat.) 2. what are they telling the volunteers? 3. do 1 and 2 have any relation? - d.
