That's exactly the point - there is no "personal use" exemption.....unlike is USA. Copying your own CD onto your own iPOD is a breach of the UK copyright law. There is a "time shifting" exemption for VCRs (and I assume PVRs) so doing that is legal. I guess by implication that its therefore legal to use your Video iPOD or similar to view TV programs you recorded from your Tivo/Windows Mediacenter.......but illegal to put songs from your own music collection onto the same iPOD. Doh!
