[ACPI-sppt] IBM Thinkpad G40 and ACPI

Hi,

I have recently installed linux on my IBM Thinkpad G40.
But even though I followed the installation instructions it doesn't seem 
to work.

My kernel version is 2.4.22 and the patch version is 20030916.

My problem is the there is no information in the /proc folders.
/proc/ac_dapter /proc_temperature etc. are all empty.
