Hi, I have recently installed linux on my IBM Thinkpad G40. But even though I followed the installation instructions it doesn't seem to work. My kernel version is 2.4.22 and the patch version is 20030916. bash$ dmesg | grep ACPI BIOS-e820: 000000000f6f0000 - 000000000f6f8000 (ACPI data) BIOS-e820: 000000000f6f8000 - 000000000f6fa000 (ACPI NVS) ACPI: have wakeup address 0xc0001000 ACPI: RSDP (v002 IBM ) @ 0x000f7330 ACPI: XSDT (v001 IBM TP-1T 0x00001042 LTP 0x00000000) @ 0x0f6f2447 ACPI: FADT (v002 IBM TP-1T 0x00001042 IBM 0x00000001) @ 0x0f6f248b ACPI: SSDT (v001 IBM TP-1T 0x00001042 MSFT 0x0100000d) @ 0x0f6f253f ACPI: ECDT (v001 IBM TP-1T 0x00001042 IBM 0x00000001) @ 0x0f6f7f87 ACPI: BOOT (v001 IBM TP-1T 0x00001042 LTP 0x00000001) @ 0x0f6f7fd8 ACPI: DSDT (v001 IBM TP-1T 0x00001042 MSFT 0x0100000d) @ 0x00000000 ACPI: Subsystem revision 20030916 ACPI: Found ECDT ACPI: Could not use ECDT PCI: ACPI tables contain no PCI IRQ routing entries My problem is the there is no information in the /proc folders. /proc/ac_dapter /proc_temperature etc. are all empty. ------------------------------------------------------- This sf.net email is sponsored by:ThinkGeek Welcome to geek heaven. http://thinkgeek.com/sf
