Re: [ACPI-sppt] ThinkPad R32 overheat problem (I guess)

I am using a ThinkPad R32 with a  Mobile Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 - M CPU
2.00GHz with a linux 2.4.20 and appropriate acpi-patches.

When I have time enough again I will update to 2.4.21...

for now It worked all just fine, I installed the new IBM Bios and dsdt was
ok. I think It's 2.08 Bios too. but:

# cat /proc/acpi/thermal_zone/THM0/*
<not supported>
<polling disabled>
state:                   ok
temperature:             50 C
critical (S5):           120 C

# cat /proc/acpi/thermal_zone/THM1/*
<not supported>
<polling disabled>
state:                   ok
temperature:             50 C
critical (S5):           50 C

however and
 cat /proc/acpi/battery/BAT0/state
always says present voltage:         16000 mV

and /proc/acpi/fan is empty ?!

[all this seems to work in new kernel, I know... have read the faqs...]


This Morning, after about 10 hours working with java [brrr] on the
notebook I switched off with a little beep.. Seemeed to be too hot...

throtteling works...
