Well, I'm not saying that IRQ sharing is wrong, just that mine seems stuck on
IRQ 9, whereas I believe USB is required to run on IRQ 11. It seems no matter
what kernel I try, it's always 9 (usb), and I cannot communicate at all with
the card via Linux.

The bios to automatically assign? I have a PhoenixBIOS, which for USB gives only
the option of "Legacy USB Support <disabled/enabled>". It is about one of the 4
settings I can change in the bios :-/ No matter which way I set it, USB sticks
to IRQ 9. The only difference is that X hangs when I set it to enabled, that is
until I `killall -9 X`, then it works fine (X).

As for asigning them manually, I presume you mean hardcoding them? I tried a
patch which changed all IRQ 9's to 11's, and though I did it well, however a
friend took a  look last night, and though there was an error. I will get the
modifief version from him today and give it another shot. However this is a
hack. It's basically just a patch to manually set the IRQ.
