Hello, I've took some days working on my ACPI battery support for a Compaq 1700T, I finally figured out a way to get it working (built my own DSDT) and also sent to sourceforge ACPI dsdt database. But there is something I've been trying to do: All softwares I tried show my battery status as none or incorrectly The ones that show as none I figured out they are made for APM The ones that show incorrectly I'm pretty sure they are intended for acpi The GNOME 2.2 tray battery, wont work Gkrellm acpi support shows battery at 46% when it's full The kde panel ACPI support show the time but not the battery % (this is odd) and window maker acpi applet shows nothing. acpi -b (wont list nothing) my /proc/acpi/battery/CMB0/state is: maddog@puppy:/proc/acpi/battery/CMB0$ cat state present: yes capacity state: ok charging state: discharging present rate: 1534 mW remaining capacity: 2295 mWh present voltage: 15515 mV maddog@puppy:/proc/acpi/battery/CMB0$ maddog@puppy:/proc/acpi/battery/CMB0$ cat info present: yes design capacity: unknown last full capacity: unknown battery technology: rechargeable design voltage: unknown design capacity warning: 800 mWh design capacity low: 16 mWh capacity granularity 1: 100 mWh capacity granularity 2: 100 mWh model number: BAT1 serial number: 0000 battery type: LION OEM info: COMPAQ maddog@puppy:/proc/acpi/battery/CMB0$ What could I do ? Is there any software I could use ? I tried OSPMD once, but it was with a huge font I couldent even try to use.
