If i was using the kernel modules, then that would be the case. I'm using the linux-wlan-ng drivers which are a replacement for the the kernel bound versions. > > Also try compliling in ALL the orinoco/hermes based wireless drives in > the kernel. I originally went that route, but the orinoco/hermes drivers have some nasty bugs that cause the wifi card to lock up under heavy load (above 2Mb/s). I'll note however that if i build the same kernel without the acpi patches, the linux-wlan-ng stuff works just fine. Its only when the acpi patches are in the kernel that the wifi stuff fails. -- ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Lonni J Friedman [email protected] Linux Step-by-step & TyGeMo http://netllama.ipfox.com ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by: INetU Attention Web Developers & Consultants: Become An INetU Hosting Partner.
