Hi Sergio, I went a little further: I can confirm that the problem is related with the PCI bus. Nothing on the bus is working properly: no network, no sound, no USB (well, partially true: I had my USB mouse working for about 30 seconds in an X environment before it froze) The output of iasl -tc: *********************************************************** Intel ACPI Component Architecture ASL Optimizing Compiler / AML Disassembler version 20030619 [Jun 30 2003] Copyright (C) 2000 - 2003 Intel Corporation Supports ACPI Specification Revision 2.0b acpi_dsdt.dsl 343: Method (\_WAK, 1, NotSerialized) Warning 2026 - ^ Reserved method must return a value (_WAK) acpi_dsdt.dsl 1706: Method (STM, 0, Serialized) Warning 2019 - ^ Not all control paths return a value (STM_) ASL Input: acpi_dsdt.dsl - 3605 lines, 109217 bytes, 1522 keywords AML Output: DSDT.aml - 12743 bytes 451 named objects 1071 executable opcodes Compilation complete. 0 Errors, 2 Warnings, 0 Remarks, 435 Optimizations *********************************************************** Everything looks ok (right?) The packages I'm using are those: acpi-0.6-5mdk acpid-1.0.1-3mdk acpi -v returns 0.06 and acpid -v returns 1.0.1 . Am I that far behind? Luc.
