[ACPI-sppt] mob athlon-2ghz throttling

Hey everybody. 
I got problems using cpu-throttling. I can set the cpu-speed using
acpi/processor/CPU1/throttling,
 but it doesn't affect my machine at all. How can i check if it really works?
My system: mob Athl.-2ghz, 2.4.21-rc2, acpi_20030512
