Righto, I recompiled my patched dsdt.dsl file with the -on switch and voila! IRQ routing works and I can load my sound driver now. I also notice that if I don't load the fan module, the machine handles its fan correctly, i.e. it doesn't stay on all the time for no reason. I also had tried the dsdt for the 2400 that Ulrik posted on the site, and that one doesn't work with the M3N, so I'll post my dsdt's on there for anyone else who might want to improve them. -l Ulrik Torben Buchholtz in message Re: [ACPI-sppt] Asus M3N / ACPI overload (Mon, 07/07 20:28): > Lindsey Simon <[email protected]> writes: > > Wow, so does iasl -on -tc dsdt.dsl fixes the IRQ routing issue as well? > > > > The patch to dsdt fixes the keventd problem for me but IRQ routing is, > > as you mentioned, not working then. > > Yes, it fixes it - or should I say, it was the name optimisations that > broke irq routing, since it worked fine with the original dsdt. > > -- > Ulrik Buchholtz > > > ------------------------------------------------------- > This SF.Net email sponsored by: Free pre-built ASP.NET sites including > Data Reports, E-commerce, Portals, and Forums are available now. > Download today and enter to win an XBOX or Visual Studio .NET. > http://aspnet.click-url.com/go/psa00100006ave/direct;at.asp_061203_01/01 > _______________________________________________ > ACPI-support mailing list > [email protected] > https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/acpi-support ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email sponsored by: Free pre-built ASP.NET sites including Data Reports, E-commerce, Portals, and Forums are available now.
