[ACPI-sppt] Power management on smp-servers?

Hi!

I have some Fujitsu-Siemens Primergy servers here (dual xeons), and I
would really like to have some powermanagement on those machines,
as they could do some less heating when idle in my opinion...

I know that it was impossible to use power management on smp-intel
with linux in the past... however, is this changing with acpi?

TIA and CU Lars.
