[ACPI-sppt] new user

hi all,
I'm new to this mailinglist and would like to get some general info.

I've already read the ACPI Howto  (half a year ago for the first time 
and now again).
but I still have a few general questions.

I use an ASUS P3BF board which is acpi capable.
my kernel is 2.4.21 on a debian woody system (not a debianized kernel 
though)

I managed to make the system go sleep, by cat 3 (or was it 5?) > 
/proc/acpi/sleep
but then how do I wake it up?

Which way should I halt/shutdown the comp. so that it's in soft-off and 
the bios timer can turn it on again?

Is it possible to use suspend to ram  standby mode ?  (it did work fine 
with some commercial OS..)
