Hello, I found 5min ago that I sent my last mail only to Lindsey, so I'm going to re-sent it to all ACPI-support mailing list. Thx, bye, Gismo / Luca ===== Hello, Lindsey Simon wrote: > I oughta put up my current dsdt - since upgrading the firmware on the > motherboard and having booted Windows and redone it a few times... Sorry, but I don't understand: have you already put your current DSDT on line? I mean, after you upgrade the motherboard firmware and so on... If yes, where I can find it? Just to give it a try... > My temperature always reports 60, and never changes I wonder why you > think the temperature might be an issue? Well, I had never tried booted on Debian after Windows 'flash' (I mean, you boot on Windows and once done you suddenly reboot on Linux) until last Sunday: I got quite the same error (the screen goes black after ACPI loading and I've no more responses), so I think there're 2 different errors: - when you boot after Windowsb (the screen goes black after ACPI) - when you need to reboot after having used a lot the notebook (the kernel freezes after "Executing all Device _STA [etc etc]") and in this case I think the problem is temperature as this is the only thing that could change with notebook-using, I mean, if you don't install new kernels, you can't change the ACPI table. But this is a possibility, as I enabled ACPI debug, but I don't know how I can't read/save a log messages when it freezes. > I got agpgart and dri to work with the 2.4.22-pre6 kernel btw :), or you > can use the -ac patches on 2.4.21. What're the "-ac" patches? I got agpgart/dri to work with normal 2.4.21, it's not a problem due to the kernel, but to agpgart/dri modules.
