[ACPI-sppt] Kernel 2.4.22 ACPI USB IRQ init sequence broken

Hi, 

I have a Fujitsu P2120 notebook which was running fine using 2.4.22-rc1
for USB 2.0 support. However, since updating to 2.4.22 final, the ACPI
initialization for various devices has changed, and USB device insertion
now causes the notebook to lockup hard (no keypress response, only 5-sec
power button press can poweroff). What happened to the ACPI IRQ init 
code??
