[ACPI-sppt] Battery Status in Acer Aspire 1700

Recently I got myself an acer 1703SM laptop. Very nice and fast laptop (quite heavy as well). Anyway since then I have been trying to get the battery status working on linux. I've been using a 2.4.21 kernel and tried both acpi-20030619 and acpi-20030523-2.4.21-rc3. Everything seems to go as planned as I load the battery module.
