Hello Mads,

nowadays I've an ASUS M3N and as u know I experienced the same problem
w/ the /fan/ and the /thermal/ module. All my efforts (for those who
haven't resolved the problem yet) r on my site's project section,
http://luca.pca.it/projects/.

About ur enquiry, I'd like to help directly in testing/programming (even
if my programming skills r not so developped). In these days I'm working
at another small project about ASUS laptops: I'm making a small tool to
manage the hotkeys via the general ACPI daemon /acpid/, tool based on
the 'acpi4asus' (http://sourceforge.net/projects/acpi4asus/). So, as
another project about ACPI on ASUS notebook is already started, I think
we could merge this project in order to give better support to ACPI on
ASUS notebook. To do so, I sent this mail even to the main developer for
the 'acpi4asus' package.

Please, u and all the others interesting in ur and my enquiry, please
let me know what u think about.

Regards,
Gismo / Luca
