[ACPI-sppt] enabling & using hotkeys on asus L3C (L3800)

Hi all!

a reference on tuxmobil (http://tuxmobil.org/asus_l3800c_e.html) points 
to ACPI for enabling the silver hotkeys on an asus L3C laptop.

has anyone looked into this at all? if so what pointers can you give?!

I would like to utilise these keys similar to the way M$ does if 
possible, or for running scripts.

I have acpi installed (kernel 2.4.22) with asus extras.
