Just to let you all know: while the patch does appear to do what it
claims, I haven't noticed the fan go on since using this DSDT. During
a recent kernel compile, the notebook got quite hot (the reported
temperature approached 60C). It appears that some automatic fan
management is deactivated because we handle the temperature change
effects to some extent.
