I tried the last Robert's DSDT (the 'fixed' one) on my M3N and now I can 
successfully reboot in Linux after Windows. On the other hand, I've the 
same message as Mads, the same disappearing of /proc/acpi/thermal_zone 
and furthermore even if at boot the fan is off, it turns on while I 
compile the 2.4.21 kernel, then it stays on and I get again the 
'keventd' problem (like from the 'ps aux' output I attached). At last, I 
loose the support for the battery-applet on GNOME 2.2.

I think the boot messages are caused by the different ASUS Centrino 
models (as for the battery-applet), so I think I could correct them into 
my DSDT and solve this 'problem'. On the other hand, I try hardcoding 
the 0x0F750064 for RAMB on my old Gismo v2 DSDT (that is on ACPI DSDT 
db) and I've no more the bug on rebooting from Windows, but I've anyway 
the boot messages as Mads.

So, now the big question: I want to fix my M3N DSDT w/ all the 
progresses made by Robert, Mads and the others on M2N. I'd like all the 
features ACPI provides (so fan state, temperature state and so on), but, 
obviously, w/ the correct values. And I'd like not to wait 5min every 
time I reboot from Windows. So, I thought to merge the last Robert's 
DSDT (the 'fixed' one) w/ his DSDT that gives correct temp values and 
fan state (it's called 'm2n-custom'). Am I correct? Or should I start 
from somewhere other?

Btw, now I'm using 'iasl-20021002', as w/ the latest 'iasl' available I 
got some errors about the final 'SS1...' states. On the other hand, the 
latest 'iasl' gives ACPI 2.0 support and I should use it, as ASUS 
Centrino laptops are ACPI 2.0 compliant. Have you commented out the 
'SS1...' blocks from your DSDTs?
