Well, thank you for having confirmed me that my patch was ok. As I
already wrote on my last mail on this subject, I tried it different
times and it seems to work for me; on the other hand, I got a positive
report that it works by another ASUS M3N user who tried it.

About the keyboard problem on 2.4.21 (patched "ACPI 20030619" and "ACPI
on ASUS Centrino"), I debugged the problem and here the results from
'dmesg':

Everytime I can't see keyboard inputs (while my Synaptics TouchPad
continues working), I get this error from 'dmesg'. Just wait 2/3min and
then I can see again keyboard inputs. The real fact is that this happens
every 5min :-( Again a DSDT problem?

Just a question about the first hack in Robert's patch: there're 2 lines
about 'acpi_integer', are they correct? Or should the new value (the
second one) be there?

=====
  	acpi_status                     status;
  	acpi_integer                    local_value;
	acpi_integer                    index_field_value;

Please take care that I'm not using the original bios which the ASUS M3N
is sold with, as on the ASUS Download Section (http://www.asus.com) I
found an update 3 months ago IIRC.

Thx, bye,
Gismo / Luca

PS about my problem with kernel 2.4.22, probably it is caused by the
Synaptics TouchPad, as another ASUS M3N user reported me, but I need to
make some other tests and I reported the results ;-)
