Server Crash

Dear LMs, My server went on crash 2-3 times yesterday.. i have checked the /var/log/messages and /var/log/secure logs..but i could not find any thing similar. someone suggested the problem could be with memory.. but the memory was perfectly ok.. Please let me know the log file name to check this issue... or some other way to find it out. Thanks for your time...
