Hi Gurus, I'm trying to install RedHAT on an HP-Netserver (got it for cheap from E-Bay). But, something's going wrong... RH 9.0 Installation doesn't start, and crashes with something like "severe BIOS-Defect". Hm.... So, I decided to try RH 7.3, the installation process here starts (only in text mode, but that's okay) But, it loads the Adaptec driver, and when it detects my Mylex RAID-Controller, the screen gets messed with errors. A few seconds later it tells me that it hasn't found any HDD, and suggests to load a driver manually. Okay, I did this, and tried to load the module "Mylex DAC960". I can't see the Mylex module in the list after loading, and DiskDruid still tells me that there are no HDDs available... Anyone did this before?? Maybe I need a special module?? System configuration is: HP Netserver LH Pro, Dual Pentium II 200MHz 2 Adaptec 7xxx SCSI-Controller, NEC SCSI-CDROM attached 2-channel MYLEX DAC960 Raid-Controller, 3 HDDs (4 GB each) attached to each channel One logical drive of 20 GB (RAID-5) is defined using NetserverNavigator. Hope someone can help, Harald -- ======================================================= Dipl. Ing.
