Hello linuxmanagers, Gentlemen, I am hoping someone has had experience setting up winbind on RedHat9 to authenticate samba shares against an active directory Windows 2000 domain. I have read the docs and joined the Linux box to the domain and changed the nss.switch and the appropriate /etc/pam.d/samba..and login files. I can successfully run wbinfo -u and receive the domain user list without problem. When I try to browse to the Home share on the linux box I am asked for a username and password (this should not be the case if winbind is working correctly. Even if the username/password is entered it will not allow access to the share. I am hoping that someone has a working config, and might be able to share the various config files for comparison. As always Thanks in advance.
