Hi,

I have just picked up a SPARCbook on an ebay auction having wanted one for
some resonable time now. This is an S1 and I do plan on getting one of the
new series once my Powerbook is another year or so older and I can justify
seemingly pointless expensive geek toy purchases. :-).

So I know the Linux kernel runs on these and there are various people
mentioning that X more or less can be encouraged to come up on some
models which suggests they are pretty usable running Linux.
What I would like is to hear from an *actual* SPARCbook Linux user.

This one has two 85MB SCSI disks which I might consider upgrading if
suitable parts are available and an AUI interface for which I have plenty
of adapters around here. I already have many SPARCs at home running
various Operating Systems so assume I know what I am doing. :-).

I will summarise if I get any takers.

Jon.

P.S. I would have sent this mail to sunmanagers too but I doubt 32 bit
Solaris runs on these. I /still/ cannot obtain Solaris source from Sun...
