Hello everyone,

I have the following situation: one webserver connects to a MySQL database
on another box. The queries themselves run fine and fast, but the problem I
have is that it is taking a large amount of time for the client to connect
on the database. When I run "show processlist" on the database, it shows a
big list of clients waiting for authentication.

I can get a TCP connection between both boxes really fast, so I don't think
it is a network issue. Does anyone there have (or know where I can find)
pointers to optimize MySQL authentication?

Regards,
