Hi Managers,

I've got a DL380G3(2*2.8Ghz/4,5Go Ram/1*36Go HDD) with redhat7.2 running
on it.
The NC7781 NIC card haven't been detected, I install the latest bcm5700
driver recommended by HP on their website on different kernel but
couldn't configure the ethernet card.
I'm working now with the version 2.4.20-20.7 on redhat7.2 (I even try
the AS 2.1 edition bur always the same pb)
The problem is:
When the bcm5700 is loaded just after installation everything is good,
but once the machine is rebooted nothing is well anymore. The machine
could'nt reach all the machine in the network it pings just some of
them(network configuration is good and routage too ) , I've used the 2
NICs no chance.
What is also strange is taht after reboot , the ifconfig command
could'nt associate the MAC adrees to the card , what can be the problem(
driver, IRQ,HW problem...)
Here is the first line from the result of ifconfig command:
eth0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:00:00:00:00:00

After the install of the bcm5700 module the MAC adress is detected.

Could you please help, I found nothing neither at HP nor in internet

Regards,

Rachid,
