Hello Managers; I'm new to Linux and in the need of reconfiguring the kernel. In Solaris I will do a "boot -r" from the "Ok>" promt and that will do it, just a way of doing it. But in Linux I do not see a way of doing it. I found something in the Internet which was stating to do the following: cd /usr/src/linux make xconfig But I don't have in my installation the directory "linux" mentioned above (/usr/src/linux) however I do have (/usr/src/redhat) and some other dirs under redhat. I was checking other boxes we have linux install and I don't see the /usr/src/linux dir. Could someone share some information on how to rebuild the kernel under the version of linux I'm runing, is it something easy like in Solaris?
