xlock/xscreensaver in RH 7.2

Dear LM, We are under NIS environment, our clients are RH 7.2 and if an NIS user locks the X session.. he is not able to unlock it. Probably I hope it is because of xlock/xscreensaver is not picking up the password from NIS server. is there any workaround for this problem. from RH7.3 onwords there is no problem.
