I have a number (30+ in the last day, over 700 in the last week) of these
messages in syslog:
Feb 16 16:43:13 saturn kernel: martian source 207.172.210.8 from \
127.0.0.1, on dev eth0
Feb 16 16:43:13 saturn kernel: ll header: \
00:e0:81:05:43:80:00:30:19:31:73:a8:08:00
My MAC address is
eth0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:E0:81:05:43:80
inet addr:207.172.210.8 Bcast:255.255.255.255 Mask:255.255.255.224

TX packets:182904 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0

RX bytes:31487865 (30.0 Mb) TX bytes:141886433 (135.3 Mb)
Interrupt:5 Base address:0x1c00
I was thinking this might be a problem with me since the header in syslog
looks like it has my MAC addr in it. Are these martians are originating
with me.
And my lo interface is up and running.
I supply this route output in case this helps.
518 > route -e
Kernel IP routing table
Destination Gateway Genmask Flags MSS Window irtt Iface

Does this make sense to anyone? I don't really understand routing very
well so I don't even know for sure if I have a problem.
