Hi! I have a new server with a PCI raid controller, a Symbios 53c416, with 4 hard disks attaeched. Also, this server have an embedded aic7xxx scsi controller with a dat tape attached to it. I need to restore the system from a DDS tape, so I made a custom boot disk with scsi-disk and scsi-tape support copiled into the kernel. Of course, aic7xxx and sym53c416 compiled into the kernel too. I already have a working root disk. When I boot with my custom boot disk, just the hard disk are detected. Nothing happend with tape support. Also, I try scsihosts kernel option without luck. Do I need to pass some special kernel parameters at boot time ? How can I enable all scsi controllers at boot time ? Any ideas will be very appreciated. Thank you very much!
