CVS Server on linux

Hi all I am trying to setup CVS server on linux so that it can be accessed from outside. I tried these docs http://www.uta.edu/oit/how-to/docs/cvs.php http://www.linuxforum.com/linux-cvs-server/gettools.html.. No luck When i try connection by wincvs from my windows Xp. it just say no repository found. Any help would be great.
