Hi all, I'm trying to set up a Debian Woody server with it's root partition on a RAID1 volume but I can't seem to get it working. I want to use ResierFS but when I boot the partitions get mounted ro instead of rw. I can't check error messages because /var gets mounted ro as well. I have three Seagate 36G 10K rpm scsi disks (sd[abc]) I have four md partitions (md[0123]) with root on md0, swap on md1, var on md2, home on md3. I installed to sdc, set up the RAIDs and copied files over, made the changes to fstab, lilo.conf, and reran lilo. I'm using a custom 2.4.25 kernel compiled from the unstable kernel-source-2.4.25 deb. I have ReiserFS, ext2/3, md, and all that fun stuff compiled in so I don't have to mess with an initrd image. I've set up root on RAID1 with ext3 no probs, but would really like to use ReiserFS. Ive used ReiserFS on non-RAID parts no prob, but can't seem to get it to play nicely with RAID. I really need to get this server up today so may have to go with ext3 if I can't get ResierFS working but they have a _lot_ of small files to think that ReiserFS would be more efficient. Any suggestions on how to troubleshoot? Anyone done this before? Thanks =) -- Kourosh <[email protected]> _______________________________________________ LinuxManagers mailing list - http://www.linuxmanagers.org submissions: LinuxManagers-35TzE1X9F6582KRnZfj+bdi2O/[email protected] subscribe/unsubscribe: http://www.linuxmanagers.org/mailman/listinfo/linuxmanagers
