Xaccess and Gtk

Greetings everyone... perhaps some of you have run into this:

 I'm running RedHat Fedora Core 2 and I cannot seem to export X-Applications
from my other machines ( SuSE 9.0 and Solaris 9 ).

My /etc/X11/xdm/Xaccess file is WIDE open for allowing hosts to connect to the 
Fedora X-server.   I have used the "xhost +" command, I have properly
exported the display from the remote host:
export DISPLAY=host:0.0
AND my sshd_config is forwarding X traffic.   SESSION is as follows:

canth:escown:=>xhost +mnementh
mnementh being added to access control list
canth:escown:=>xhost
access control disabled, clients can connect from any host
INET:mnementh
canth:escown:=>ssh -l escown mnementh
escown@mnementh's password: 
Last login: Wed Aug 11 23:24:09 2004 from canth.local
Sun Microsystems Inc.   SunOS 5.9       Generic May 2002
mnementh:escown:=>export DISPLAY=10.0.0.6:0.0
mnementh:escown:=>/usr/local/mozilla/mozilla

Gtk-WARNING **: cannot open display: 10.0.0.6:0.0




I have found all sorts of folks with the same error on various linux flavors,
but none offer solutions other than verifying settings in the Xaccess file
and correctly setting the DISPLAY variable.
