Automount with Solaris 2.8

Hi,
          I am having Soaris NIS with 2.8 OS. I have installed 4.1.3 
version automount on a linux box. I am not able to mount fs from NIS map 
I did the following changes to mount /net/host names...... now /net/host 
names..... are gating mounted. Still I am not able to mount fs from NIS 
maps.

Added the following line to /etc/modules.conf: 
    alias autofs autofs4 

added the following line into /etc/auto.master

/net    /etc/auto.net

Set the permissions on these files: 
chmod 444 /etc/auto.master 
chmod 555 /etc/auto.net


Can someone help me to mount the fs from NIS map.
