need to install a specific version of glibc

A user requested me to install glibc 2.2.5-179. He says the system currently has 2.2.5-158. How can he tell this? I have a program that tells me the system's version of glibc. The output is merely 2.2.5. More importantly, how do I find the source code for this specific version? rpmfind.net and google have not helped. This is a SuSE 8 system. /etc/issue says: Welcome to SuSE SLES 8 (powered by UnitedLinux 1.0) (i586) uname -a says: Linux lclnx25 2.4.19-64GB-SMP #1 SMP Mon Oct 21 18:48:05 UTC 2002 i686 unknown Thanks.
