Hi Managers, I have a box running linux 2.4.20-9smp. A java (oc4j) process fails with "Too many open files". I've adjusted "nofile" from 1024 to 2048 in /etc/security/limits.conf but it dont take effect. Only if I "su -" too root, then to "oc4j" user. In another box running 2.4.20-28.7smp no problem, the new limit takes effect at login time with no problems. Have anybody dealed with this type of problems (too many open files?) What is the meaning of /proc/sys/fs/file-nr: "3113 1649 209698" ? Thanks in advance, I'll summarize Jordi _______________________________________________ LinuxManagers mailing list - http://www.linuxmanagers.org submissions: LinuxManagers-35TzE1X9F6582KRnZfj+bdi2O/[email protected] subscribe/unsubscribe: http://www.linuxmanagers.org/mailman/listinfo/linuxmanagers
