Once again, I'm going to try to get lucky. I upgraded to 2.6.10-1.770_FC3smp on Fedora Core 3 (from the original stock kernel) and now my printer doesn't work. [root@saturn]# cat /home/steveo/mozilla.ps > /dev/lp0 bash: /dev/lp0: No such device or address [root@saturn]# ls -l /dev/lp0 crw-rw---- 1 root lp 6, 0 Mar 20 14:45 /dev/lp0 /proc/devices shows Character devices: 6 lp Also, lsmod shows parport_pc 29701 0 lp 15405 0 parport 37129 3 ppdev,parport_pc,lp ppdev 12613 0 Anyone see something missing? Does anyone know what I need to do to make it work? Do I need to load a driver or add something to modprobe.conf? TIA -- Time flies like the wind. Fruit flies like a banana. Stranger things have .0. happened but none stranger than this. Does your driver's license say Organ ..0 Donor?Black holes are where God divided by zero. Listen to me! We are all- 000 individuals! What if this weren't a hypothetical question? steveo at syslang.net _______________________________________________ LinuxManagers mailing list - http://www.linuxmanagers.org submissions: LinuxManagers-35TzE1X9F6582KRnZfj+bdi2O/[email protected] subscribe/unsubscribe: http://www.linuxmanagers.org/mailman/listinfo/linuxmanagers
