Can you test the latest kxconfig package available in dockyard? 
It's working here. 
 
If you ancounter the same problem, please do: 
- copy your /etc/X11/XF86Config-4 _before_ running kxconfig and name it 
  something like XF86Config-4.orig 
- run kxconfig 
- change your screen resolution 
- attach to this bug report the saved XF86Config-4 file and the new one 
(generated after running kxconfig)
