Optimization of system start up during last stage of install froze

Install on Compaq computer

After about 15 minutes in a hang state I re-booted


Additional Information:


 Installing on a Compaq computer. Install looked as if it was going to be 
sucessful. But was not. I installed on a non-partitioned part of disk. Also 
wiped my boot to Win2K
