Summary: The network goes down while transfering file using
                    ncftp.
           Product: Ark Linux
           Version: 1.0 alpha6
          Platform: i586 (PC, Intel)
        OS/Version: All
            Status: NEW
          Severity: High
           Affects: Stability
         Component: ncftp
        AssignedTo: [email protected]
        ReportedBy: [email protected]
         QAContact: [email protected]

Description of Problem:

I just installed the arklinux-1.0-alpha.6 with 1st CD.

And I tried to install packages in 2nd and 3rd CD by copying the files from
    other computer using ftp.
So, I already made 'devel.tar.gz' and 'extra.tar.gz' from ISO images.
Each size of the files is about 200 Mbytes.

And while getting file using ncftp, the network goes down very frequently.
The network goes totally down, even the ping request do not work.
I should type '/etc/init.d/network restart', or 'ifdown eth0; ifup eth0' to
    enable network.
Only typing 'ifup eth0' do not work.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

    NcFTP 3.1.5

How Reproducible:

    Get big file using ncftp.

Steps to Reproduce:

1. ftp -u pub 165.213.87.245
2. bin
3. get devel.tar.gz

Actual Results:

Network goes down and ftp stops while getting the file.
   (not always, but very frequently)
Even the ping request do not work.

Expected Results:

   Successfully get the given file.
