Summary: lexmark E210 no longer works after upgrade from alpha 7
to dockyard
Product: Ark Linux
Version: Dockyard
Platform: i586 (PC, Intel)
OS/Version: All
Status: NEW
Severity: Low
Affects: Hardware Support
Component: foomatic
AssignedTo: [email protected]
ReportedBy: [email protected]
QAContact: [email protected]
Description of Problem:
printer doesnt work after apt-get dist-upgrade to dockyard.
This is how cups lists the printer:
laser Lexmark E210, Foomatic + gdi (recommended)
Description: laser
location: laser
Printer State: idle, accepting jobs.
"Media tray empty!"
Device URI: usb:/dev/usb/lp0
note, the media tray is not empty. I believe its a problem with how cups/etc
were compiled.
Addtional Information:
I expected this as thats why I originally didn't upgrade, for some reason
something has changed between the alpha 7 version of cups/foomatic and this
one.
kde printer thing doesnt crash anymore though :)
