           Summary: Installation questions about geography
           Product: Ark Linux
           Version: 1.0 alpha8
          Platform: i586 (PC, Intel)
        OS/Version: All
            Status: NEW
          Severity: Enhancement
           Affects: Overall Usability
         Component: Installer
        AssignedTo: [email protected]
        ReportedBy: [email protected]
         QAContact: [email protected]

Description of Problem:
The installer first asks 3 questions: timezone, keyboard layout and language. 9 out of
10 times you want the same setting for all three, with timezone possibly varying within
the country. It would be great if you only had to select where you live (maybe from a
map of the world?), and then have an "Advanced.." button where you could manually
specify a different keyb layout for example.

Another way would be to have the keyboard layout and language initially grayed out,
and make the user choose timezone first (btw the timezones need to be grouped by
continent/language, the list is way too long). Then, keyb layout and language would
be automatically selected based upon timezone setting.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
1.0-a8.2
