Description of Problem:
Unable to install on i810 mb with current lilo/boot configuration. A blank
screen shows when booting up.
Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
Alpha8
How Reproducible:
Try to install on a COmpaq Presario 1700 p3-1gig laptop. If you turn
"vga=normal" and "acpi=off" in the paramaters for the install kernel, you get
past the big black blank screen that ark shows when you boot off the cd.
However, when you do that, the installer doesnt know how to mount the installer
files and partitions, and stops with errors 'unable to boot root fs panic' errors.
Soln:
When booting the installer up, pass the parameters 'acpi=off' and possibly
'vga=normal' to the kernel by default.
