           Summary: Wrong grub config written
           Product: Ark Linux
           Version: 1.0 alpha8
          Platform: i586 (PC, Intel)
        OS/Version: All
            Status: NEW
          Severity: Low
           Affects: Overall Usability
         Component: Installer
        AssignedTo: [email protected]
        ReportedBy: [email protected]

Description of Problem:

I just installed arklinux alpha9 on my laptop:

/dev/hda1 * 1 702 5638783+ 7 HPFS/NTFS
/dev/hda2 703 768 530145 82 Linux swap
/dev/hda3 769 1725 7687102+ 83 Linux
/dev/hda4 1726 2432 5678977+ 5 Extended
/dev/hda5 1726 1789 514048+ 82 Linux swap
/dev/hda6 1790 2432 5164866 83 Linux

hda{5,6} were empty and were created by the arklinux installer.

Unfortunately grub was not set up correctly: It was set up to
boot from hda3 (my previous linux installation) instead of
hda6, which it just installed ark-linux to. Naturally, it
could not find the ark-linux kernel on hda3 and hence the
boot failed.
