Description of Problem: 
After installing gtk1 (gtk-1.2 via Synaptic/Dockyard) on a fresh new ArkLinux 
1.0 alpha-10, X do not work anymore. XFree86 is updated during the gtk 
install.

How Reproducible: 
Highly reproducible (systematic). 
 
Steps to Reproduce: 
1. Install GTK1, accepting all dependants packages (containing XFree86 6600ko 
download) 
2. Stop the machine 
3. Start it again 
 
Actual Results: 
Blank screen at graphical launch. One can not access any terminal tty1-x 
 
Expected Results: 
X launch and KDE start 
 
Additional Information: 
My PC is an MB Asus P5A-B / CPU K6-2/350 / 256Mo / video-card 3dfx voodoo 4500 
AGP. 
I ask for french locale: fr-latin fails and starting keytable fails too. 
I use a PS/2 KVM.
