Summary: on 'express install', crashes when there is only 1
primary partition left.
Product: Ark Linux
Version: 1.0 alpha10
Platform: i686 (PC, Intel)
OS/Version: All
Status: NEW
Severity: High
Affects: Stability
Component: Installer
AssignedTo: [email protected]
ReportedBy: [email protected]
QAContact: [email protected]
Description of Problem:
When doing an Express Install, installer crashes after making filesystems.
Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
Alpha 10.1 Installer
How Reproducible:
Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install Fedora Core 1 to half of drive (making sure to leave other half
unpartitioned) :)
2. Attempt an 'Express Install' of Ark Linux Alpha 10.1
3. Crash!
Actual Results:
Crashes after making filesystems.
Expected Results:
Continue on install.
Additional Information:
No error messages are given at all, just 'installer exited with code 0'. I
beleive the problem is because my Fedora Core 1 install uses 3 primary
partitions (swap, /boot, and /) leaving only one for Ark Linux. Ark isn't yet
smart enough to see there is already a swap partition, so it makes one (in this
case, a primary partition, number 4) and then crashes when attempting to make
any other partitions.
