Summary: setserial broken link and non-boot
Product: Ark Linux
Version: Dockyard
Platform: i586 (PC, Intel)
OS/Version: All
Status: NEW
Severity: High
Affects: Stability
Component: setserial
AssignedTo: [email protected]
ReportedBy: [email protected]
QAContact: [email protected]
Description of Problem:
setserial from dockyard as a broken link of /etc/rc.serial which doesn't point
to /etc/rc.d/rc.serial. But when I did link it to the correct script, ark
would no longer boot. It would lock when the kernel got to the point of trying
to load the serial module. The error log in /tmp/ complained about unresolved
isapnp symbols. Using a rescue disk I deleted the /etc/rc.d/rc.serial script
and ark booted again.
Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): setserial 2.17-8
How Reproducible:
install setserial
Steps to Reproduce:
1. install setserial
2. see /etc/rc.serial if broken
3. link /etc/rc.serial to the correct script
Actual Results:
computer no boot :)
Expected Results:
setserial should work :)
