Description of Problem:

When shutting down the syetem or rebooting, the kernel panics while shutting
down eth0, freezing the system and resuslting in an unclean shutdown.

How Reproducible: 100%

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Select shutdown or reboot from the logout menu
2. Wait.
3.

Actual Results:

Kernel panics and the system is then frozen. Hard reset is the only escape.

Expected Results:

eth0 should simply shut down :)
